  1. Cook 1 cup of mung däl and 3 cups of rice
  2. Deep fry potatoes in mustard seed oil and put aside
  3. Fry masala: 1 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chili powder 2# black cardamom powder 3# green cardamom powder
  4. Add 1/2 cup of curd (churned before)
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water
  6. When boils add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp fennel powder 1/2 tbsp dry ginger powder 1/2 tbsp cumin powder 1/3 tbsp cinnamon powder 1 tbsp mishri powder
  7. Add salt, potatoes and boil for some time
  8. When ready add 1/2 tbsp shahi jeera 1/4 tbsp garam masala powder
  9. Add to boiled rice and däl and cook for 5-10 min.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
