  1. Fry masala: 2 tsp kalonji 2tsp fennel 1/2 tsp fenugreek 4 bay leaves 1/2 asafoetida 4 green chillies
  2. Add dhal and vegetables & fry for 5 min.
  3. Add water, salt and cook 'till däl is 80% ready.
  4. Add rice and cook by adding water little by little.
  5. At the end add: 2 tsp sugar 2 tsp garam masala mixed with ghee (last) 2 tsp lemon juice
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves
