Instructions
  1. First fry masala in ghee:   3 # bay leaves 3 tbsp chopped ginger 2 # cloves
  2. Add mung däl and fry with masala for some time
  3. Add powder masala and water & salt 1 tsp turmeric 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  4. When half cooked add spinach and rice
  5. When rice is 75% cooked add tomatoes
  6. When cooked the kitcheri should be soft and semi liquid
