  1. 1 kg urad däl (soaked for few hours in the water) 1 kg rice cook together. While cooking kitcheri add water little by little and mix a lot. Thus you will get fine mushy paste.
  2. Deep fry potatoes (smeared with turmeric powder) in mustard seed oil and keep aside.
  3. In a separate pan fry: 2 tbsp panch phoran 2 tbsp Ginger paste 1 tbsp turmeric paste
  4. Add fried potatoes and cook for some time
  5. Then add little water, salt and allow to boil for 5 min
  6. Add to boiled Kitcheri
  7. Add 2 tbsp panch phoran powder & salt Cook till ready.
